Electric Vehicles That May Qualify for Auto Insurance Savings
Not every electric car is the same, but depending on the kind of electric vehicle that you have as well as the current auto insurance you have for it, we might be able to help you save money on car insurance. Higher-end electric vehicles like Teslas tend to be much more expensive, but mid-range electric vehicles like Nissan Leafs and Chevy Sparks etc. are often more affordable privately. If you drive one of these vehicles, definitely talk to us about getting a quote today!
ICBC Insurance vs. Private Insurance for Electric Vehicles
If you are currently using ICBC to insure your electric vehicle, and if your electric car is a mid-range vehicle as mentioned above, you may want to look into what private family auto insurance may be able to offer. Chances are high that you may be able to save money on your car insurance by going private. Talk to us today to get a new quote started.
Get An HOV Sticker To Drive More Freely Too!
If you didn’t know already, electric cars are able to apply and get “HOV stickers” added to their cars. What this does is give the driver of the car access to drive in normally restricted lanes like diamond lanes which are usually reserved for buses, taxis, and now electric vehicles! All you have to do is complete an HOV/EV permit application form.
“Electric vehicles (EVs) displaying an official decal are allowed in high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes in British Columbia regardless of the number of passengers in the car, unless a sign is posted indicating otherwise.” – gov.bc.ca
